Artist's Statement
Warwick's work is an exploration of the connections between art, domesticity, and personal identity as it is tied to a living space. They aim to create work that encourages the joyful and intentional curation of a home and challenges the idea that art requires a pedestal or formal display to be valuable.
While Warwick regularly explores a variety of mediums, their work is primarily based in clay. They create wheel-thrown vessels that find their place in both interior and exterior spaces, including vases, lamps, and birdhouses. These gently rounded forms are adorned with colorful patterns inspired by both textile and architectural designs. As objects intended for a home, Warwick aspires for their pieces to honor and amplify that authentic and emotionally fulfilling space.
